As of 20 November 2013 the Internet information portal for the project “National Traffic Management System" started to work. The platform aims at enabling two-sided communication between GDDKiA and stakeholders interested in KSZR implementation and development of ITS services in Poland (private companies, scientific institutions, associations, etc.).The platform will include materials being the effect of GDDKiA work on KSZR that include:
- technical specifications,
- descriptions of KSZR architecture,
- maps presenting the assumed territorial scope of KSZR,
- presentations concerning KSZR.
The Internet platform is a place that will include information on the planned meetings of the GDDKiA representatives with respective stakeholders. An important part of the Internet platform is the KSZR forum which will provide a possibility to ask GDDKiA questions concerning KSZR and it will enable discussions between stakeholders.
We would like to invite everyone to visit the KSZR internet platform on a regular basis.
On 2 December 2013 in Brussels an annual ITS conference will be held which is organised by the European Commission. During the conference the progress of works on the National Traffic Management System will be presented. Moreover different public and private entities will exchange their experiences from ITS implementation and execution.
In relation to drawing up the application for co-financing of projects by GDDKiA, which is related to the National Traffic Management System from the infrastructural fund Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), GDDKiA started to update the feasibility study prepared in 2012 for the investment entitled “Construction of a Traffic Management System on motorways and expressways” (Polish: Budowa Systemu Zarządzania Ruchem na Autostradach i Drogach Ekspresowych). The update of the feasibility study is carried out on the basis of re-defined and clarified assumptions concerning the scope of operation and functions implemented by KSZR.
